Piedra river hot springs is about 1,5 mile hike from parking. You will find small pools right by the Piedra River south of Pagosa Springs. Many visitors create new pools – just stacking stones to block cold water and feed new pool. Average temperature is between 37-40°C.

These hot springs are located in the hearth of Rocky Mountains. Expect wildlife. The best timing to get there is in summer or fall.

How to get there: Follow the dirt road for about 6,7 miles to intersection fo Monument Park Road and parking. Than take the Sheep Creek Trailhead. As mentioned above – 1,5 mile to get there.. Follow the trail. There will be half mile into the downhill hike. You reach a fork road – left to a bridge, right to the hot springs.
