Rainbow hot springs is an remove hot spring accessible by walk via very popular 7 mile-hike. It will be probably crowded during the summer weekends. But it is worth it.

There are two pools right by San Juan River. Both constructed by visitors. You can adjust them to keep more cool or hot water.

Bigger pool is approximately for 6-10 ppl and temperature is around 35°C. This one is right by river.
Upper pool is smaller and hotter – around 40°C. Place for 3 ppl.

Many visitors stay there overnight

Start of the hike is at West Fork Trail head parking. There is quite steep elevation Be ready for hard workout. You will pass Borns Lake community cabins. Follow the West Fork trail and search for Rainbow hot springs signs. Trail is usually marked but sometimes can be tough towards the end – last mile is the toughest.
